It is an easy comparison to the flu but it is not necessarily a good one. Because the flu has a vaccine. Not a cure but it serves as a preventative measure. w/o it the numbers would be closer to the Black Death. BTW when the flu was offing people, we learned the lessons being talked about today. So right now there is no vaccine for Corona - and the fear of death for the infirmed and elderly is real. However - I agree the media treats every new case like a referendum on the future....
