Augusta National Golf Club Chairman Fred Ridley announced that the 2020 Masters Tournament will be postponed due to the ongoing risks associated with the Coronavirus outbreak.
Ridley received input from the WHO, CDC, and state/local government before making this decision. They were also in close contact with the PGA TOUR who just canceled action for the three weeks. Given the international nature of the field, they needed to consider travel availability as well. There is no current timetable for when the Masters will be played but an October date would make lots of sense, following shortly after the Ryder Cup in late September.
