No way on earth the death rate is .1 nor 3%. It’s likely going to be .4 - .7 range as asymptomatic carriers are almost never reported. The virus is very strategic that it attacks tissues around the lungs and heart but also the heme in red blood cells which carry oxygen. Older people are more susceptible because they likely carry more blood sugar. Iron supplements probably wouldn’t be a bad idea. Reports are that the malaria treatment of chloroquine and zinc might be an effective in combatting the disease.
