Value, do me a favor, when you have the time. You can do a much better job at this than I can.

I believe this is something that will benefit everybody here. Just as a history lesson, not that it will happen again, but maybe in part it could.

Do a chart that tracks from 2006 through 2011 charting the movements of these items.

The big miners - GDX
The juniors - GDXJ
Gold price - GLD
Silver price - SLV
S&P 500 - ???

I'm not sure what would track the S&P and am assuming the ones I indicated would accurately track the others. What I want to see is how they rose and fell during that period. 2006 was just before the stock market crash and when it crashed (07-08) then the period gold and silver moved big afterwards.

What I think would be enlightening for us to see is the time it took to make those moves. What do you think?
