It's not meaningless - that's a major exaggeration. First of all, it's still possible to be able to sell the cream in the US without getting FDA approval, if it's safe for use. The safety trial may be nearly completed, because last year the first half of the trial was completed. Next step (phase 2) may be starting soon if the new CEO can get funding - this will be a trial for effectiveness on psoriasis patients, which will be required for FDA approval. The cream is not likely to be sold in the US until marijuana is descheduled from schedule 1, and then can be sold in all sorts of ways but not with a prescription.

Second, the patent, although only a step in the process for becoming a prescription drug in the US, means so much more than just money. It means they have a real invention, not just some lotion with THC and CBD in it. There is a good chance there is real science behind the product, and however they do intend to market this in the future in the US, their invention is protected.

Third, the fact the product got a US patent means they will probably get it patented in Europe and every other country they applied to, sometime in the future.

Fourth, the patent is worth something now because it is a necessity for marketing the product in the future. If phase 2 trials show the product is ineffective, THEN the patent will be worthless, but right now it gives promise to their science and work, and all that is needed now is successful trials at Sheba hospital and good moves made by the company for moving forward.

So, all your claims that the company is a scam, and that their product and IP is worthless is just not accurate. Nobody can deny that all this is highly speculative, but there is definitely value here relative to the share price.
