Inovio has already initiated preclinical testing and small-scale manufacturing of the experimental vaccine. Inovio CEO J. Joseph Kim said the company's plan, should human testing be successful, is to use its existing resources and capacity to have one million doses of the vaccine produced by the end of the year for further trials or emergency use. He said the company would need additional resources to "scale up" and make enough doses to help protect Americans from COVID-19 and help global efforts to curtail the virus.
