I know nothing about options but they always seemed like a zero sum thing. Plus time consuming.

Yeah, I see that DCT has done terribly, and closely tracking NGL. The cheerleading that goes on with NGL is unnatural. Borders on shilling. NGL is a pretty small MLP, so why is everyone on the board absolutely in love with the stock? When it drops or cuts its dividend several will show up and "testify" that they're thrilled to be able to add cheaply. Thank You, Jesus!!!

NGL Energy IPOd at $21 about 9 years ago, peaked in the high 40s in 2014 and is now $6.
