Rumor...exists...(I'm searching for confirmation) that EEL's unsolicited bid came from Addax Petroleum. This excerpt was sent to me from an EEL investor. While it appears it came from Reuters UK.....I haven't been able to confirm it via link.

Think about the magnitude if below rumor holds water. I have really wondered how Addax could be buying and funding so much activity in recent months. Could somebody be telling them what to purchase and how much to promise for exploration costs in such purchases? Their sp is on the rise.....almost as if they are being chased/controlled by an eventual suitor. Just MO, but I think it deserves a watchful eye.

"The company would not name its suitor, but sources familiar with the matter told Reuters that a mid-tier oil and gas producer was behind the approach. Analysts said Canada's Addax Petroleum was the most likely candidate, partly because it has a foothold in offshore Nigeria, the location of two deep water blocks considered to be Equator's most valuable assets."
