Erik Anderson, B.A. (Hons), M.A.
Erik has more than 25 years’ experience running successful businesses in both the private and public spheres. The founder of a management consulting firm, he provided strategic business development and IT technical services to public sector clients in Saskatchewan (medical, education, government) before moving to Alberta in 1997. There he focused on the energy sector and diversified his practice to include quality management services and assisted more than 20 large corporations with their strategic foray into internet-based technologies. With an opportunity to divest his practice, he then spent the next six years as an executive in the Canadian telecom industry with Ericsson and Rogers Wireless.

Erik returned to his entrepreneurial roots in 2006 and established a software company focused on providing wireless (GPS) solutions for the Canadian oil patch. He sold the company in 2012 and returned to the management consulting space where he provided strategic guidance to several tech companies and helped raise capital for growth. In 2013, he began investing in early stage cannabis producers and worked with a variety of capital markets teams who eventually took these companies public in Canada.

Having made an investment in an oil and gas services company in late 2014, Erik spent the next three years leading the turn-around of the company in the face sharp declines in the Canadian energy sector. Divesting his position in 2017, he once again turned back to the cannabis space, assisting numerous cultivation operations with obtaining their ACMPR licenses and also raising funds for several cannabis players.

Erik brings a large network of long-standing business relationships into Citation Growth Corp and is excited by the task of focusing the company on a core strategy moving forward. He is energized to work with Citation’s Canadian operation to enter the market with high-end medicinal wellness products and is intent on maximizing growth in the company’s Nevada and California markets as he feels that federal US legalization for adult recreational cannabis will occur within the next few years.

Erik holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from the University of Regina and a Masters of Arts (Interdisciplinary Studies) from the University of British Columbia. He’s an avid golfer and a competitive wake surfer. He has been married to his wife, Bridget, for 22 years and they have two active kids, Mats and Lily, who are world-class competitive wake surfers.
