Actually, I post on entertainment company boards that I own an interest in (large or small interest). A lot of information is released in entertainment news and not press releases. I, also, read the SEC filings. These are two sources of info a lot of people overlook, waiting instead for press releases from the company.

I find discussion on the company useful, not just for me, but, also people new to buying stock. Discussing the potentials (positive or negative) allows people to decide whether the risk is worth the potential rewards. It, also, allows them to better analyze their next stock buy, before purchasing and joining a stock message board.
