Exploring for high-grade critical rare earth elements and uranium in Canada

February 26, 2020

[[ Thanks to Investor Intel ]]

An interview with Jack Lifton of Investor Intel and Tom Drivas, CEO of Appia Energy Corp

The Alces Lake Project (in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan region) has the highest occurrence of rare earths in Canada, possibly in North America. In terms of monazite, possibly in the world. We have shown pictures of samples of monazite to SGS (Saskatchewan Geological Survey), and they haven’t seen anything like it — it is unique. We are getting up to 85% of monazite on the surface. In addition to that, we are getting up to 49% total rare earth over a few meters. We are not talking about grab samples.

The company is Appia Energy Corp (CSE (Canadian Securities Exchange):API | OTCQB:APAAF | Germany:A0I.F, A0I.MU, A0I.BE ) which is exploring for high-grade critical rare earth elements and uranium in the Athabasca Basin, Saskatchewan, Canada

Numerous high-grade REE zones have been discovered to date (~25% "critical Rare Earths"), six of which are at surface (Bell, Charles, Dante, Dylan, Ivan and Wilson) and many others are within 15 m of the surface (i.e. Charles Lower). Each have a higher grade of REEs than Mt. Weld (slide 16 of preseentation).

Only been around since 2017 (low ~C$0.10 - high ~C$0.30). With a share price of C$0.15-0.20 and a market cap of C$19.9M it would appear to be something Ucore might want to look at. Need exploration funds for a PEA. The Uranium processing and infrastructure is already in place to handle the initial processing and concentration activities.
