I found the original article that the blog post I put up lifted the information from, it was indeed from November 1, 2019.

I don't know when the various interviews took place that were used in writing the article but I would imagine the last week of October about the same time the Arnold (Superhero Kindergarten) teaser video was released to investors end of October.

I am as I said quite surprised and pleased with what we now know, we all had guesses I am sure as to just what extant Youku was involved In the development etc. I like many were cautiously optimistic with the "worldwide" launching of the cartoon, I mean a new cartoon that just didn't even for me who is a rather positive guy thought maybe some poetic license was taken there.

I thought well it has to air here first doesn't it? But evidently they are breaking the mold in that respect which I am pleased to hear. In my opinion and only my opinion, which with that and .99 cents you can get a cup of coffee off the McDonald's senior menu, with this being Youku stepping into an entirely different area and looking to switch up the way they come about content etc. I feel strongly that is why they are involved at the core as he said, in all aspects. One way to look at it is that it's their debutante coming out ball in as far as cartoon IP development with joint ownership/partnership and in that respect I think they are going to make sure it crosses all the T's and dot's all the I's.

I think quality will be first and foremost front and center and their purse and ability to give it a very good promotion in Asia, most certainly China is a very big plus. They have skin in the game not only with putting out the best product they can but promoting it, products etc. with the debut of the cartoon. They are partners in every sense of the word, that is another aspect of this that is much different from the norm.

Product licensing that with the name of AS and SL and that it will be going worldwide will/should bring in top tier players like the ones we know of Crayola, Elmer's and Playdoh. The lunch box I haven't a clue who will make it, they are not made much anymore, the metal types, Frozen did some Paw Patrol etc. But very few, and at first I was like a lunch box?

Who uses those anymore and especially not metal, but then I realized just what I was saying. One aspect that had slipped my mind was the Stan lee/Cartoon/Action character to this that is a rather robust market especially in Asia where anime is bigger than here by a long shot and Stan Lee well he was the man. I believe a lot of the products will have a collectible market to them besides the regular retail market. It won't be the bulk by any stretch of the imagination but it will be significant between North America and Asia.

I found this video by way of IMBd there is a section on a movie/tv shows page where if it is mentioned or the focus of something else in the media/industry it will say as much.

But anyway it was this fellow out of Canada that does podcasts on anime/cartoons had mentioned it and I decided to look. It was very telling in two aspects first the entire podcast is very sarcastic in aspects, maybe that's the wrong way to put it, its over the top, but, they are cartoon/anime/comic people they march to the beat of their own drum.

But anyway his entire persona changed when he spoke of it, I will let you see it for yourself rather than say what he said, except that he said something to the effect that even if It isn't the best quality etc. etc. we will see it. It goes in line with Youku being involved IMHO he/they I that group of the marketplace will/should be pleasantly surprised.

It starts at 1:10

In my opinion with the knowledge that Youku has skin in the game and will be making sure that all involved put their best foot forward.

I would hope that we can keep this on a positive note we all now some's feelings about other things and we all have differing views on what that means and how that is being sorted, in the face of what lays ahead in the next 6 months, it can be sorted easily in a number of different ways.

Hopefully more top tier will sign on to license goods and more than just the US/UK/China will be buying the rights to broadcast this special project. With all these things comes checks, we will just have to see how that plays out, but, we know the man fall off the ladder he is climbing back up now and we need not be reminded of his fall every waking minute of the day, we get it.

Peace out, enjoy your evening and your week.
