No, not boring at all. If you care more about the world as a whole, than yourself then I say "bully for you!"
So, if your taxes go up to 52% as they are in the Netherlands and you suddenly find you can't afford to travel to California to see the grandkids, but you're helping the poor, then you're good with that? Again I say "Bully!"
I'd say most people have nothing to complain about so they find something. If we were in another Great Depression or say the Corona Virus starts killing 25% of the population and 75% of those are elderly, I'm thinking you might not be as worried as how Ireland sees us.
None of your points below lack merit. I haven't asked my son about the dealings with the Navy Seal, but I can tell you, he has seen some things (especially when Obama was in office), that didn't sit well with him, regarding caring for the Military.
With all that said, you may have emotions or feelings towards the results from Trumps actions, but it's clearly not the definition of affecting you directly. (a small point, but you changed the word directly to personally and they're not quite synonymous).
Anyway, good talk. I'm glad to see we can do it without arguing.
Just my opinion, of course.
