It is time I think to make this board lively again.
Bad news out of Italy on the Corona-19 story, and the fact folks can be carriers for weeks with out symptoms. i hear there may be white house Update tonight.
Interesting update on the radio today, NPR reading a letter from 2 volunteer Chinese nurses working the front lines in Wuhan China, were 11 Million people have been under quarantine for over a month(?) now.
3 MM is running 24/7 in the US plant making safety gear and is way under stocked.
Congress discussion I saw where they only have 30 mil masks (Homeland idiots?) and say the might need 300 mil? IIRC
I use to be a city LEPC chairman for 20 years. Local Emergency Planning Committee, and I predicted 9/11 in 1990 but nothing was really done to stop it.
I hope it dies out as global warming sets in again in a few weeks, LOL, as think warm weather may wipe it out like SARs, and the other 2 recent ones.
The problem with this one is folks can have it for weeks and not know it, from what they think they know so far. They still no perfect picture of all the ways it is transmitted.
I read one write up that said if 1 billion people get infected, 20 Million would die from it.
