Strongbow Announces Acquisition of Claims in Committee
Bay Gold Belt, Nunavut Territory

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Strongbow Resources Inc. (TSX.V-SR)
reports acquisition by staking of approximately 200,000 acres of
mineral claims over potential gold-bearing Archean greenstone
belt geology near and adjoining claim blocks owned by Committee
Bay Resources Ltd. (CBR) in the Committee Bay Greenstone Belt,
Nunavut. Costs of staking and resulting claim ownership are
shared 50:50 with Navigator Exploration Corp. (TSXV-NVR). The
Committee Bay Greenstone Belt is 300 km long, 5 to 50 km wide and
geologically comparable to the great Canadian gold producing
greenstone belts of Red Lake, Timmins, Kirkland Lake and
Yellowknife. High grade drill intersections recently announced by
CBR, including 16.0 g/t Au over 12.6 m, 19.0 g/t Au over 14.4 m
and 24.8 g/t over 12.9 m, have confirmed the potential for
economic grades and widths in the Committee Bay Belt. An
aggressive exploration program on the newly acquired
Strongbow/Navigator claims is planned for 2004.

At Strongbow's Curraghinalt gold property in County Tyrone,
Northern Ireland, Tournigan Gold Corporation (TSX.V-TVC) has
reported (see October 1, 2003 news release) the results of a four
hole first stage drilling program designed to test for southeast
extensions of the three main veins that make up the Curraghinalt
resource, previously estimated to be 468,000 tonnes at average
grade of 16.9 grams gold per tonne - the largest known gold
resource in the United Kingdom. The veins are high grade
(generally 10 to 25 g/t Au) but narrow (generally less than 1.5
m), with complex geometry pinching, swelling and splitting along
strike and down dip. The four reported holes indicate that the
three main veins (and a fourth newly identified vein) in the
Curraghinalt gold system can be traced approximately 325 metres
southeast of the existing outlined resource. These results are
considered encouraging and consequently the Tournigan drilling
will continue at Curraghinalt. Following completion of $2,000,000
in exploration expenditures by Tournigan, Strongbow may elect to
participate as a 49% joint venture partner or accept further
dilution of its interest.
