The development of Al Reem Island will ultimately provide for a residential population of 280,000. The island is partly reclaimed and lies adjacent the existing Abu Dhabi CBD area.

The development contains a mix of residential, commercial hotel, administrative and institutional precincts. Construction commenced in 2005 is planned over an 8 to 10 year period.
Technical Details

Alliance Design Group are the Civil and Structural engineers for Stage 1 of the project. This includes 14 highrise apartment towers varying from 20 levels to 55 levels and a single iconic 75 storey office tower. Significant basement construction works and coastal works are also involved in this stage of the project.
