February 20--This morning I went out front to check the garden and saw Gracie in the gutter. Last week Melinda disappeared. We're down to the two tomcats, Dreamsicle and Pumpkin, and Two-Tone, the black and white tomcat who hides under the shed. Cats and cars don't get along.

The snow began around 2 and will quit around 9. Friday will be sunny but the wind will be from the north at 10 mph. So much for working some soil for snap peas. Maybe next week. Maybe not. Winter's grip will tighten again during the first week of March. It's getting so the spring season is getting shorter and shorter.
