In the US the still unnamed psoriasis cream would be a drug and OWCP would need to conduct FDA/DEA approved clinical trials which would take between 4 and 5 years - and would cost close to $45 million.

Since psoriasis is a autoimmune disease - the OWCP psoriasis cream is only treating the symptoms at a topical level only - just like thousands of other products.

Here is a example - for 20 years the battle cry was that cannabis could treat pain but of course it was all anecdotal - when Sativex 50/50 THC/CBD subjected to the rigors of a FDA approved clinical trial where there was a double blind study - Sativex failed miserably.

Sativex was found to be no more effective in mitigating pain in cancer patients than a placebo.

So the healing powers of marijuana have been greatly exaggerated - there haven't been any double blind studies for a THC/CBD cream for treating the symptoms of psoriasis.
