IMHO There will be a global economic hiccup, how big, how many hiccups, and how long is all unknown. I think this will qualify as a black swan event. The US is totally dependent on China for many, many, critical minerals & metals, as well as the manufacturing of products. Just listen to the recent announcement by Apple.

Much of china is shut down, people can’t travel, plants can’t operate because workers are not present, or if they are at the plant the plant is not getting supplies and raw materials. Ships and planes from China are being severely restricted.

JIT manufacturing and dependence on China works well, but when a link in the supply chain is broken, things come to a screeching halt pretty quick.

I pray that China get this under control soon, the global ramifications are great.
