I fully agree with your conclusions (and judging from the current share price, the market does not thinks that the settlement will bring any benefit to SIAF).
It is clear that since the entire letter is a plea to release Seiden from the obligation to disclose the terms of the settlement to the other shareholders, this settlement cannot be anything they are proud of.
