After further consideration/thought and a couple conversations yesterday; further potential implications come to mind:

My long held belief of aapl's "drag it out/string-small patent owners-along" strategy is very short sided and demonstrates an arrogance so common in hugely wealthy, behemoth companies...the bully mentality!

So, say aapl has convinced the smaller t, vz and much, much smaller twtr to go along with them fighting the smalls, AGAINST ALL RESONABLE LOGIC. Now, MAYBE, apple's strategy of paying $10s of millions in legal fees starts to result in $100s of millions in judgements...VIRNETX ALREADY HAS NEARLY A $BILLION IN JUDGEMENTS! Might this result in the smaller companies rethinking this plan and bring them to the table? I think it might!
