The FY 2021 federal budget was signed into law this week.

FDA SEEKS GUIDANCE ON REGULATION OF ABUSE-DETERRENT OPIOIDS

The agency will survey about 1,000 clinicians and pharmacists to assess their understanding of opioid formulations that are designed to deter abuse by injection, snorting or chewing and swallowing. The agency also wants feedback from providers about the impact on patients and about how the FDA should regulate and label these drugs.
