Curious - I read and understood. I was just adding to what he said. The preferred (in my opinion) will be converted. I was pointing out that even some of the variables pay a really good rate of interest so the "let them be" option should be off the table. I am thinking of switching some of my $25s to cheap $50s under the theory that I could have more shares for the same price if we are converted. Even if they end up being treated pro rata instead of equally - I may still end up with the same number of total shares of common. On the other hand, if we end up getting back interest - which I doubt but is possible - the more expensive $50s may be better. One thing I am not going to do is sell any of my commons to do this.
