I wonder if the"cooling off" period the article mentions has been removed. Gottlieb left in March, and was on the board of directors for Pfizer in June. That's hardly a cooling off period.

In private industry a 180, even a 1 year non compete is not uncommon for high ranking officers. I would think in government it should be at least that.
