The "British Invasion" is what music historian call the explosive popularity of British Pop Music artists during the mid-60s. The Hollies first major US hit was Bus Stop, composed by British songwriter Graham Goldman in 1966. The Hollies still perform and record and were inducted in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in 2010. Graham Nash was an original member, and could be credited with being the groups founder. He left the Hollies in 1968 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue songwriting full time. He met up with Stephen Still and David Crosby and formed the trio of Crosby, Stills, and Nash. The rest, of course, is history. The three would appear at the Woodstock Music Festival a year later.

Bus Stop is noted for the sitar like sound musical hook, and the group's three part harmony. It is a story song about a boy and girl falling in love in foggy London.
