Folks, every broker has to report the total number of shares everyday they are holding and then borrow over night to cover the T+3 trades that day. This is the total # shares that are deposited, Free Trading. IF you bought stock from the company and are holding a cert, or your cert is issued and being held electronically with the Transfer Agent and, you have not deposited it with your broker, your stock is NOT included in the DTC number.
