RJ.............I've got a large hobby farm that backs on to thousands of acres of crown land. I had over 100 guys hunting here at different times over a two week period. Some are still coming out to bow hunt. We hired a local butcher this year and he worked here each day. At $75.00 a deer he collected about 4 grand for 2 weeks work. We have a lot of deer up here and this has been a great year. Even with all the ones taken so far, I still see them yarding up in some of the fields. If we have an easy winter, we will be tripping over them next year.

We had no shortage of bucks this year, but none were shot that would be considered a trophy. The biggest was 15 points and most were 6 - 8. The racks on most were tiny. Must have been a bad year for nuts.

I still have my tag and will do some bow hunting this month. There is no shortage of meat in the freezer so no worries here.

Take care......

Pete
