Avita can apply for a patent extension to offset time spent in FDA trials. It is meant to.level the field because FDA takes sooooo long. Gotta have a chance to.make it up. I'm not sure how many years " credit" theynwill receive.but should be.several at least (i think there's a formula based on milestone trial dates.). Also I don't consider infringement or duplication ( generic) a big threat due to surgeons personality quirks( professional reputations) and the.difficulty of VAC committee navigation.
Just my thoughts.
