I think I have a screw or 2 loose up there somewhere, for several days now I have thought on the parable of the Mustard Seed from Matthew 13:31. This morning I spent a fair amount of time in search of a more clear understanding. There is a ton or more here to check out, Kingdom of Heaven/God in my Interpreter's Dictionary of the Bible carries 10 pages on this subject, lots of different thoughts here, then I had to think on Faith and life in general. This subject is probably way to heavy for me, but allow me to tell y'all where mind has been straying off to for a few days.......My life----Your life in the Christian walk through our Christian life started off as a mustard seed and gradually grew and grew, but we never reach that full blown status until after we leave this world and arrive at our home in heaven. We are just mustard seeds planted and gradually growing while in our earthly home. Now tie this into the stuff in the Bible about the pruning of bushes, so when we mess up and fall short, those errors are pruned off and we grow stronger from our mistakes, then think of the Bible stuff about digging around a tree and nourishing it to help it grow healthy, applies to our Bible reading & study and our prayer life----we were just a mere little seed growing but never reaching maturity until we arrive in our heavenly home. I know this parable applies to the Kingdom Of heaven/God, but rather than quickly reading over this parable, take your time and think on the different parts of this parable and your life in general, making it a very personal message from Jesus to you. Let us say the thought on the Kingdom of God is present here, then you being a Christian makes you a part of this Kingdom, a mere seed growing to maturity----Have a wonderful weekend
