No. You are not wrong. But I still don't understand the way trials are conducted in the U.S. What I find most intriging is how a layman jury is supposed to understand the ins and outs of complicated cases like this. In my country (The Netherlands) we have specialized judges to conduct trials like this and thanks heaven, no jury system.
