I joke a lot about ---"I like cheap and really like free", so it would only be correct or me to say I really like what Paul wrote in Ephesians 2: 4-10---- "But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. 1 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."-----Notice in there it says "a gift from God,"----a gift is a freebie & I like freebies. Well maybe we wonder about this gift, we all want to see what is in the package, and like any gift wrapped package we have to unwrap it, so let's see----1st in here we see "mercy"---unwrap Psalm 103: 8-12, then "His great Love"----so unwrap John 3:16--Romans 5:8--& 1 John 4: 9-10, then "Grace"--so unwrap 1: Timothy 1: 13-14-----combine these 3 wrappings and we have our free gift....."we are saved through God's grace through "faith", it is a "gift" from God to each of us who believe. OH the gift, check out Romans 6: 23----the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord---
