And this is true. Soil expands when frozen leaving it loosened after the spring thaw. No, you cant till frozen soil.This is if it freezes in the winter. You can sometimes bulldoze frozen soil depending on the depth of freezing. I am in Kansas City. This winter the ground is only frozen a few inches down. Boilermaker at some point indicated that winter would probably not prevent site preparation from beginning.
