What is High Security (Registrar Lock)?
When you register a domain name with https://www.namescout.com, we include FREE High Security (Registrar Lock).

High Security (Registrar Lock) locks all of the information in a domain record at the Registry so that it cannot be modified. When activated, it prevents a domain name from being transferred, deleted and/or modified by a third party.

When you make changes to your domain record from within your Master Account, the system will unlock your domain name to submit the changes to the Registry. Once those changes have been made, High Security (Registrar Lock) will be enabled again. (Please note: Registrar Lock is currently unavailable for .ca domain names because CIRA does not presently support this function).

Please Note: By default, all new domain name(s) have the High Security feature activated. However if you do not wish to have High Security enabled for your domain name(s) please log into your Master Account at https://www.namescout.com, go to Domain Admin and select Turn Off under High Security.
