G'Morning folks----Many times I have wondered on the subject of forgiveness, remember the part about shaking the dust off your feet and moving on, the in Luke 17 we read----------"17 Then He said to the disciples, “It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come! 2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. 4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, I repent,’ you shall forgive him.”----now this brings me to my crazy little mind.......if there is no repentance, how do we forgive? and we kick the dust off our feet and move on does forgiveness exist? HUMMM......Very deep subject, we sin against the Holy Spirit we end up unforgiven and headed to hell, no repentance no forgiveness.....One will say that is different, but we are told to be like Jesus....HUMMM..... In my mind & heart I carry no animosity against one who did me wrong, in my mind & heart ---I say---"Ain't no biggie", and move on......but no repentance, can we forgive?--------Oh how I wish I didn't think so much....lol.... I have used the ole say'n-- "I forgive, but I don't forget"------we do learn lessons and learn to be careful in our worldly walk, but let's be honest, if we walk around remembering whatever, have we honestly forgiven? OK---got you thinking, may I suggest if you struggle with these thoughts, or the way I learned to handle it, turn it over to God and ask God to do the forgiving, then I ask God to give me a clean heart with lots of understanding----see, then I just don't have to worry about it anymore....
