That is an interesting observation. I had not considered the possibility of a merger or an acquisition. If I remember correctly, the original announcement was that the new management had "acquired an equity interest" in the company, however, I am not sure how much of the equity they acquired. It would probably have an impact on the possibility of a merger or acquisition.
