If silver is the primary metal you are mining, then of course you want your cyanide grabbing onto silver. If there is a lot of manganese in the ore (as there often is)......your silver recovery goes way down.

Same thing with a gold mine that has some silver....would be better gold recovery if the silver were not there. Wouldn't you rather have an ounce of gold, than an ounce of silver?

Do your own research, use third-party sources, and don't buy into the hype.
