Most people are unaware that Vitamin E is essential for the bodies general over health, along with other Vitamin agents like A and C. The reason is because Vitamin E donates hydrogen for cell energy and repair.

Chief Scientist, Michael W. Fountain PhD, has licensed his patent to directly tackle this specific deficiency in medical application and medications. Studies have been done at Oregon State University back in 1987 that showed that Vitamin E efficacy in cell culture, simply wasn't being seen in rodent populations testing due to the "inactivity" of the Vitamin E and Vitamin E succinate compounds they were using.

What Michael W. Fountain and research team were able to develop was a "Vitamin E Phosphate" compound that wasn't inert, nor harmful to the liver upon breakdown.

"The vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes can, in accordance with the teachings herein, be added to solutions used for storage and transport of tissues for transplant. One of the major problems in the transportation of organs is the damage to cells between the time the organ is harvested and the time the organ is connected to the recipient's blood supply. The use of vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes to prevent tissue damage could greatly assist in improving the efficacy of such transplants. The concentration of the vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes can vary greatly. For example, concentrations of 1 Mm to 1000 Mm would be appropriate. A preferred concentration is 10 mMole to 100 mMole. The vitamin E phosphate in the vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes may be in the form of one of the soluble salts, such as the sodium or potassium salts, in isotonic solution.

The use of vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes as an additive to such solution for storage and transport would be useful with any tissue for transplant, such as heart, liver, muscle (including heart muscle), lung, kidney tissue."

" Phosphatidylcholine—especially polyenylphosphatidylcholine (PPC)—liposomes with and without vitamin E phosphate may be added to foods or beverages to supplement the diet or given orally in tablet or capsular form to protect from the damaging effects of oxidative stress and to assist in cell repair functions. Such phosphatidylcholine complexes can also be used as dietary supplement either alone or in conjunction with other dietary enhancing components.

Because many otherwise useful drugs are not given because of their effect on liver cells, the use of vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine liposomes given in conjunction with such drugs can provide useful benefits. The NSP of embodiment of the present invention make this possible. Administration with vitamin E phosphate/phosphatidylcholine to protect the liver may render such drugs far less objectionable as long-term treatments."
