Right! The Johnny Mathis version uses the original lyrics from Phantom of the Opera. Streisand's arrangement nixes, "Say you love me every waking moment" — maybe Streisand or the record arrangers/producers thought these lyrics were too clingy. The substituted lyrics ("every winter morning") don’t really fit, however, and they detract from the recording, IMO.
I couldn’t find any discussion on the Internet about these changed lyrics, which it itself surprising!
