A question hanging over these patents is the issue date. I believe the earliest patent was issued in Nov. 1995. A software patent is good for a 20 year period. I know there was a question about the patent issue date brought up in Casper's court proceedings and I believe her response was that World's could file an appeal to contest the patent issue date. This will have a major impact on who or what games have infringed and for how long.
