This is certainly not a positive for DSSTM. The fact that the judge "issued an order that denied DSSTM’s motion to amend its infringement contentions" and then "granted Apple’s motion to strike DSSTM’s infringement expert report" is a significant victory for the fruit. The judge has to also be aware that Intel and Apple are suing Fortress and DSSTM for frivolous lawsuits. If you include the potential of either party appealing, I think this is probably years away from being settled, much less surviving IMO, I think Fortress will eventually cut bait and go away. Fotress parent Softbank still stinging from the $5 billion loss from the WeWork fiasco and the potential gargantuan fees from fighting the upcoming Apple and Intel suit loom large. Next.
