DGIF and it subsidiary D7 Acres is under contract to work with a Colorado Grower that
will be planting 6 acres of CDB certified hemp seed. The seed is certified to produce 12-
15% CDB oil.
D7 Acres will be raising hemp for seed, because we have such a high-quality seed it is
well worth raising seed even though with the temporary enclosers it will raise the cost
of farming to $30,000 per acre.
The temporary enclosers are necessary to isolate the plants so that there is no cross
pollination as well as protecting the plants for other environmental issues.
By keeping the number of acres small we will be able to hand plant the seedlings and
put in the necessary nutrients in the ground at the time of planting.
We are planting and growing for seed because of the upside potential is so great.
According to experience of our partners we should expect some where between 500 to
1000 pounds per acre. Each pound has around 27,000 seeds. Each seed sells at retail for
$1.00 per seed. Even at a wholesale price of 50 cents a seed it would yield many millions
in revenue.
