The real collateral damage of killing Soleimani: Democrats’ minds

For Democrats and their allies in the media, the standard for evaluating every situation is no longer an objective view of the facts at hand. It is, “How can we aim the news of the day against President Trump?”

Sometimes this is amusing. CNN “journalists” turn themselves into experts on the proper way to feed koi. The media becomes more horrified at how the president delivers supplies to hurricane victims than at the devastation of the hurricane itself. And important questions become, did the White House misgender Conan, the hero combat dog?

It’s always unhinged, but sometimes it leads to Democrats choosing our enemies over America. It leads to Democrats blaming Iran’s killing of 176 innocent people on the United States. This type of Democrat delusion was on full display during last night’s debate. Each candidate backed the disastrous nuclear agreement, with Joe Biden claiming the deal that put Iran on a pathway to a nuclear weapon with military sites off-limits to inspectors, and gave hundreds of billions of dollars and pallets of cash to be used by Qassem Soleimani’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, “was working.” Bernie Sanders baselessly claimed the strike against Soleimani was “based on lies.” Does Bernie think Iran’s attack against Saudi oil fields, shooting down our drones, attempting to siege our embassy, and killing of Nawres Hamid, an American contractor, were “lies,” too?

Democrats continued to remain silent as protests against the authoritarian regime spreading throughout Iran. The only 2020 Democrats to say anything have been Biden, who attacked our president first, and Amy Klobuchar, who tweeted, “People should have the right to peacefully protest in any country, including Iran.” How brave.

Nancy Pelosi can’t even bring herself to voice support for the protesters, calling it “whatever it is.”

What Democrats call “whatever”? Courageous Iranians risking their lives from an authoritarian regime that kills its own people in the streets. The people of Iran are chanting “Death to the dictator,” not “Death to America.” They are ripping down posters of Soleimani. Not exactly like the death of Elvis, as our media disgustingly claimed.

The people of Iran deserve our support. They have gotten it from Trump, whose tweet in support of the people in Farsi quickly became the most liked Persian tweet in history. Yet they aren’t getting it from Democrats or the media.

This is the same media that defended the honor of the last terrorist monster Trump authorized killing. But they’ve outdone themselves in covering the death of Soleimani, who was responsible for killing at least 603 Americans and wounding countless others. The media livestreamed his funeral — a propaganda boon to the authoritarian regime that forced Iranians to attend. They say, “Soleimani was a bad guy, but ...” as they rationalize that a terrorist monster, who just killed an American citizen while trying to besiege our embassy and was in Baghdad planning more attacks, should still be alive.

Who needs Javad Zarif when Democrats and the media do his propaganda work for him?

Democrats want Americans to believe it is controversial to remove a known terrorist killer from the battlefield. Trump, in contrast, drew a red line, and unlike his predecessor, Trump enforces them.

Instead of putting Americans first, the Democrats rushed to blame America first. The people of Iran are refusing to trample over the American flag, while Democrats trumpet talking points from the authoritarian Iranian regime (and vice versa).

In the middle of an Iranian attack against U.S. troops at bases in Iraq, Pelosi blamed America for “needless provocations.” But worst of all, when it became clear that Iran had accidentally shot down the Ukrainian airliner with a Russian missile, killing 176 innocent people onboard, Democrats blamed Trump. They even beat Zarif to it. Pete Buttigieg tweeted, “innocent civilians are now dead” because of an “unnecessary and unwanted military tit for tat.” Zarif later blamed it on “U.S. adventurism.”

California Democrat Jackie Speier blamed Iran’s actions on Trump first, before even expressing condolences for the victims. Now the people who Iran lied to are out protesting in the street, demanding change.

“This is yet another example of collateral damage from the actions that have been taken in a provocative way by the president of the United States,” Speier said.

In reality, the only collateral damage is the Democrats’ minds.
