Market Chatter: Beyond Meat Considers Entry into China Market in 2020

04:06 AM EST, 01/15/2020 (MT Newswires) -- Beyond Meat (BYND), a producer of plant-based meat substitutes, is considering to enter the Chinese market in 2020 as part of its growth strategy, Xinhua News Agency reported Tuesday.

"We haven't announced anything, but we are expected to do something this year," Executive Chairman Seth Goldman said on the sidelines of the U.S. National Retail Federation in China.

"The real goal would be to take a crop from every continent where we produce and grow the crops and produce the product in that continent," Goldman added.

The executive said Beyond Meat will continue investing in its facility in Missouri, but they also plan to establish facilities in other parts of the country and in other continents.
