Hemp-Based CBD Promoted as Dietary Supplement in Bipartisan Bill

The House’s CBD Legalization bill utilizes the same mechanism we’ve discussed before, making hemp-derived CBD exempt from the drug exclusion clause in the FDCA

The drug exclusion clause prohibits the use of an FDA-approved pharmaceutical ingredient (CBD in Epidiolex) to be sold (technically marketed) as a dietary supplement or placed into foods
