Altera widens view for quarterly sequential sales decline

ALTR20.30, -0.06, -0.3%) after Tuesday's closing bell said it now sees a decline in fourth-quarter sequential sales of 5% to 7%, compared with its prior view of a 2% to 5% decline. The programmable solutions company cited declining sales for mainstream and mature products. Altera added that it still expects sequential sales growth to resume in the first quarter.
