kdpennies, the taste is that of a citrus flavor, it really isn't bad at all, the consistency is that of yogurt. The pak can be torn open with the fingers and will fill a tablespoon about 1 1/2 times. There is a bit of an aftertaste but I take it with my breakfast and that solves that problem. I believe a four year old could take this without too much gritting of teeth, just follow with some toast and juice or the like.
