Apparently the whole thing has been removed to District Court, I'm assuming the Northern District of CA. It appears to be a wage issue where Maas wasn't paid what he thinks he was owed. There are a lot of condradictory entries, like his contract states he was employed as a contract worker but then goes on to claim he wasn't on contract, he was an employee and entitled to be compensated as an employee. Later he claims he was paid in stock but Steve Rotman somehow fraudulently conspired to lower the stock price so Maas wouldn't get paid the amount he was due. And he sued Greg Rotman and Blue Oar but then lists Steve Rotman and the entire VYST board of directors.
So I'm not sure about the merits of the case but it looks like Maas and his attorneys are throwing whatever they can at them to see what sticks. There is also a counterclaim by Greg Rotman and also by Dr. Matthan to remove himself as a defendant. I have a feeling Mr. Maas isn't happy with what his portfolio is worth at the moment - kind of like the rest of us lol.
I do not see where a protection order was granted, could you point me in that direction?
