Indiva Inc, a subsidiary of Indiva Ltd (OTCMKTS:NDVAF), has delivered the first consignment of cannabis products to Saskatchewan. With this first shipment, Indiva achieved a milestone of delivering premium cannabis products across the nation. The consumers can buy hand-finished prerolls from the Pot Shack of Saskatoon in the next few weeks.

A unique environment for cannabis products

Chief Executive Officer and President of Indiva, Niel Marotta, said the company is excited to provide prerolls to the prairies. He said the company is pleased to enter a pact with Pot Shack, an outstanding retailer, to market its prerolls. Saskatchewan offers a unique environment to its products.

President and owner of Pot Shack, Geoff Conn, said he is pleased to include Indiva’s products to its assortment of offerings. He is looking for high-quality, hand-crafted cannabis products to its guests. Indiva’s products are a perfect fit to meet his goal and become the first retailer to sell premium cannabis products in Saskatchewan. It is the second province in the nation to receive the cannabis products of Indiva.


Availability of cannabis products in six provinces

Indiva plans to sell cannabis products in six provinces that include Nova Scotia, British Columbia, and Alberta next year.

The sale of adult-use cannabis declined significantly in the Eastern Canadian market in September 2019. It is on the backdrop of the inability of the industry to open new stores to satisfy the demand of customers in those provinces.

Recreational marijuana sales drop by 5%

The sales of recreational marijuana declined to CAD 71 million (down 5%) in Newfoundland, Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island in September 2019 when compared to the previous month. Quebec is the only province in the nation to increase the total count of stores to four this month. The number of cannabis stores in Ontario, the largest market in Canada, stuck at twenty-four.

Ontario accounted for a drop of 6% spending on marijuana. The sales of marijuana in this province stand at CAD 31.7 million. New Brunswick accounted for the steepest fall in sales at CAD 3.2 million (down 40%). The retail sales in Western Canada are impressive. Consumers prefer buying cannabis at brick and mortar stores.
