Aitken, Once TPL becomes a C corp the dividend may matter. The "theory"
is that energy ETF's have to include oil & gas companies that pay solid
dividends...so once TPL is a C corp there should be all this additional
buying pressure from these ETF's. My hope is that analysts will begin
coverage of TPL which may lead to additional buying of the shares. I
think recent buying is from institutions that want to get a head start
on owning this. I would think any proposal to have TPL go from a
trust to a c corp would have to be approved by shareholders. The
longer the special committee keeps this process from concluding the
longer they will be able to milk the monthly stipend for themselves.
Don't know why we need the retired 4 star AF general...TPL does not
need a nuclear war strategy, well unless they go to war with California
or Washington DC. Maybe low grade tactical munitions for deep
underground fracking. Just kidding...but at one time I was PRP
qualified for NRAS (Nuclear Release Authentication System.)
