Yes, @ Cheesehead634: Prof. Stegmann left CVBT due to serious, irreconcilable differences with the former CEO! He is now a free man - and continues to enjoy sailing - and scientific work at Hannover Medical School, Germany. He is still active in the field of growth factors (FGF) and as a heart surgeon; he is also active as an international consultant for scientific projects in cardiovascular medicine. He was never asked by the new management of CVBT whether he would like to work for CVBT again after the management change.
